ADdendum(c) 2006
We live in a connected world. You can travel to the other side of the world and have instant access to your bank account via any ATM, yet on your network you probably have several disjointed systems that cannot speak to each other. Isn't that frustrating?
We have a solution!
ADdendum is an application that can tie disjointed systems together. Doing so typically removes the need for tedious manual duplication of tasks, resulting in increased productivity.
ADdendum was designed to allow management information systems in schools, such as CMIS and SIMS to auto-create Active Directory user accounts, Exchange mailboxes and home folders. There are various additions to it that can write timetable information to Exchange calendars and a Vista-like side-bar displaying timetable information on demand. It can even create AD groups to mirror teaching groups in CMIS or SIMS thus ensuring tasks can be assigned to group safe in the knowledge that the AD group's membership is current and correct.
ADdendum really comes into its own when used in conjunction with a Virtual Learning Environment. Teachers simply do not have the time to assign work to individual students - ADdendum ensures they only need to assign it to their teaching groups. Equally, e-mailing students is made easier as a single message sent to the group's e-mail address is all it takes to ensure all students in a teaching group receives it.
